Derek Matthews, Esq., brings a well-rounded background to his legal practice, having graduated from George Washington University and Western Michigan University Cooley Law School. His diverse expertise spans personal injury law, family law, criminal law, business law, estate planning, probate law, and dependency law. With a unique professional journey that includes roles as a firefighter, respiratory therapist, pharmaceutical representative, and in-home construction, Matthews likely offers clients a comprehensive perspective.
Beyond his legal endeavors, Derek enjoys boating, golf, and cherishing moments with his wife and children, suggesting a balanced and family-oriented approach to life. David H. Page
Senior Associate
Attorney David H. Page, a distinguished graduate of Western Michigan University Cooley Law and alumnus of the University of North Carolina, embarked on his legal journey with an internship at a well-known Fishhawk law firm. Hailing from Valrico, he returned to the area after college and became a senior associate at Matthews Law & Associates. His excellent legal writing skills and outstanding research abilities led to David practicing Civil Litigation, Business Law, Estate Planning, and Probate Law, contributing significantly to the firm’s success.
Kaitlyn Norris
Senior Associate
Kaitlyn Norris started her career in Tampa practicing in the areas of Third Party Liability Defense and Personal Injury Protection (PIP) Defense. She has represented major national insurance carriers against personal injury claims like automobile accidents. With the knowledge and experience from the defense side, she brings a unique perspective to Matthews Law and Associates. Now, she uses her experience to zealously advocate for her clients who have been injured.
Kaitlyn was born and raised in the Tampa Bay Area. She earned her bachelor’s degree from Florida State University majoring in Criminology. During this time she gained experience at the Public Defenders Office in Leon County and at the Lee County Sheriff’s Office, where she decided to pursue a career in fighting for others. She returned to Tampa and received her Juris Doctorate from Cooley Law School. While in school, she interned at private firms in the Tampa area and was asked by her Torts professor to serve as a mentor to other students.
Supplied with her defense background, Kaitlyn represents clients who have been injured in personal injury claims. She believes in treating each case with an individualized and tailored approach to get her clients the compensation they deserve. While not at the office, Kaitlyn enjoys spending time with her husband Dakota, and their dog, Duke, and cat, Olive. Her ideal Saturday is either watching the Florida State Seminoles play or spending time on the boat in Tampa Bay.
